My baby boy is now in the double digits! Cue depression and confusion. How …. just how? How on earth has it been 10 years already? It does not seem like it’s been 10 years! This boy made me find purpose in life. Although timing made things much harder than they needed to be I wouldn’t go back and change anything. Being a teen parent was hard ya’ll! So flippin hard. We sacrificed our our early twenties to working our butts off all to give this guy the best life he could have and I’d say we accomplished that and then some.

I am so proud of the young man dude he’s becoming. He’s slaying it in school ( thank god….because I cannot help him if he isn’t hahaha ). He’s a pretty awesome big brother ( most of the time ). He loves to cuddle with us still – which I know is almost to it’s limit. Soon enough he’ll be “too cool” to love up on his mom!

Though he drives me crazy and has quite the SASS these day’s I love this little turd to death. I cannot even imagine what another 10 years will bring. We are quickly creeping up on the teenage years and I’m not gonna lie…I’m terrified. I don’t want to spend too much time worrying about the future though. I’ve been trying to live within the moment and just take things day by day as best as I can.

Anyways! For this dudes 10th birthday it was cold, and rainy. We took him to go checkout Myakka River State Park but due to the weather it was not so magical. We didn’t see any gators and pretty much just got rained on. The trails are super beautiful and my photographer brain was excited but everyone else was not really impressed. We then did our usual thing and played at home running wild on our street, then did a cake for him.

His real birthday celebration was a trip to Busch Gardens which 100% made up for his gloomy birthday!
